Abstract
Objective To report the first adult female case of umbilical omental evisce ration through a 5-mm port site. Subject A woman in whom evisceration occurred 6 h after an uncomplicated la paroscopic ovarian cystectomy. Intervention The umbilical port-site incision was extended, the omentum red uced into the abdomen and the fascial defect closed. Conclusions Strategies for prevention of this complication are outlined.
