A two dimensional rounding process model, including morphological anal
yses of grain form and calculation of flux of surface diffusion driven
by difference of curvature, is developed and solved numerically. Resu
lts from simplified model runs, intended to illustrate the shape depen
dence of rounding rate, are presented. The method for evaluation of th
e morphological feature of grains during rounding and the method for e
stimation of actual flux from the morphological analysis of experiment
al products are discussed.
