Abstract
By chemically embellishing metal-oxygen fragments into the three outer cavi ties of the nanoanion [H-3-Mo57V6(NO)(6)O-183(H2O)(18)](21-) ({Mo57V6}), a new nanostructural anion formulated as [H3Mo57V6(NO)(6)O-189- (H2O)(12)(VO) (6)](15-) ({Mo57V12}) was obtained. The embellishment leads to a new nanost ructural anion with some interesting results. Furthermore, the six embedded symmetry-related V2 centers have tetrahedral coordination environments and are verified as V-v ions via solid-state V-51 NMR spectrum.
