Birdshot chorioretinopathy associated with tamoxifene retinal toxicity

We report a case of Birdshot retinochoriodopathy associated with ocular tox icity due to tamoxifen. Adverse drug effects were suspected due to the pres ence of yellow-white dots in the paramacular region and the fovea and by mo difications of the retinal epithelial pigments. Ocular toxicity should be s uspected as it may be reversible if recognized and stopped early. Other adv erse ocular effects are described and the pathogenic mechanism of tomoxifen retinopathy analyzed.
