Abstract
Simple budget models and correlations have been useful in providing or der-of-magnitude estimates of eutrophication variables and toxic organ ic chemicals in lakes and reservoirs. A similar approach is used here to develop correlations to support management of phosphorus-limited, d rinking-water supplies.
