Abstract
Wall functions, assigned as boundary conditions for equations of motio n and heat transfer some distance away from the wall outside the visco us sublayer region, are derived. The effect of factors complicating th e flow, such as the permeability of the surface, pressure gradient, an d free convection, on the wall functions is investigated for the two-p arameter k-epsilon model of turbulence.
