Abstract
A case of cellulitis of the hand resulting from embedding of a dental crown following a punch injury is described. This report emphasises the need for X-ray imaging in all cases of penetrating hand trauma, particularly when t he history is vague, and also the difficulty in using metronidazole in alco holic patients.
