Maysel's formula is applied to a thin circular plate under axisymmetric the
rmal or piezoelectric loaning. The plate may be traction-free, simply suppo
rted or clamped on its cylindrical boundary. Solutions are obtained in the
form of Fourier-Bessel series. Numerical results for displacements and stre
sses are presented, corresponding to various loading distributions and plat
e thickness-to-diameter ratios.
