Abstract
Sympathetic nerve activity is altered and is a prognostic factor for many c
ardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, coronary syndromes, and conges
tive heart failure. Therefore, the selection of vasoactive drugs for the tr
eatment of these diseases should also take into consideration their effects
on the sympathetic nervous system.
