Various combinations of plant hormones were tested for callogenesis in diff
erent explants of microsperma lentil cultivar Masoor-85. Callogenesis was o
bserved under dark conditions. Calli could regenerate bud primordia and a f
ew buds developed into shoots with leaves when transferred under light cond
itions. Elongated shoots were cut from the base and adventitious rooting wa
s induced to develop these into pod bearing plants in the field.
