High statistic zero-field mu SR measurements have been performed in the ant
iferromagnetic state of the Ho3+ sublattice in HoBa2Cu3O7. The measurements
reveal a time-dependent local field at the muon position. This time effect
is shown to be the result of a change of the crystal electric field caused
by the muon point charge. This effect solves the incompatibility between t
he magnetic structure proposed by neutron diffraction, and mu SR measuremen
