Graphical comparison of sets of repair data

Many products accumulate repairs and repair costs. Analysis of such recurre nce data requires special statistical models and methods, which do not appe ar in basic reliability books. This expository paper presents models and me thods for plotting and comparing two such data sets using confidence Limits . The methods are applied here to repair data on automatic and manual trans missions of cars. Computer programs that perform the calculations and make the plots are discussed.
