Determining relative arrangement of the "electrocapillary" curves for tin and lead from the capacitance measurements on renewable electrodes of an eutectic tin-lead alloy

The impedance method is employed to investigate the time effects observed i
n the potential region of ideal polarizability on renewable electrodes of a
tin-lead alloy in a 0.3 M NaF solution. The effects correspond to the nonf
aradaic process of enrichment of the electrode surface by atoms of lead, wh
ich is the surface-active constituent of the alloy. The data, concerning th
e effect of the electrode charge on the kinetics of variations in the surfa
ce composition of the alloy, are utilized to propose and realize a method f
or the determination of mutual arrangement of "electrocapillary" curves for
solid electrodes tin this case, tin and lead electrodes).
