Contact electroresistance (CER) of silver is studied in 0.001 M NaF + (0-1)
M KOH solutions at potentials varying from -1.2 V to the Ag2O formation po
tential. It is shown that CER of silver increases with the concentration of
hydroxyl ions in solution. The CER data are used to plot, for the first ti
me, isotherms of adsorption of hydroxyl ions on silver at various potential
s.
