Abstract
The present paper reports the results of theoretical Valence band stru cture investigations of high-temperature YBa2Cu3O7-delta thin films ob tained by calculation of the X-ray emission (XES) and photoelectron (P ES) spectra. The XES and PES spectra were obtained on the basis of ene rgy band structure calculations which were realized in the framework o f a local density functional approximation using the film linearized a ugmented plane wave method. The calculated spectra are compared with t he experimental data. The main characteristic properties of the experi mental spectra are interpreted on the basis of the performed computati ons.
