R. Goddard et al., Tetrabutylammonium alpha-acetyl-gamma-butyrolactonate containing a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network, ACT CRYST C, 56, 2000, pp. 878-880
The title compound, C16H36N+. C-6 H7O3-, crystallizes with two independent
anions and two independent cations in the asymmetric unit. Each anion adopt
s an s-trans conformation and forms O ... H-C hydrogen bonds to the alpha-m
ethylene groups of four neighbouring tetrabutylammonium cations, to create
a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network.
