Abstract
The T-C: of BamuSr1-muTiO3(BST) as a function of the composition and the la ttice parameter gamma is examined. It is corn pared with the lattice parame ter dependence of Te of BaTiO3 and SrTiO3 respectively. It is argued that t he variation of Te in BST can be attributed to the change of cell volume. T he order and the diffuseness of the phase transition are also discussed fro m the volume effect viewpoint. The fact that the Ba and Sr are ionized lead s to the volume effect of BST.
