Abstract
Dynamically quenched phosphorescence detection - an attractive alternative for absorption detection in capillary electrophoresis (CE), especially if a nalytes with low absorptivities are dealt with - can be readily implemented using a conventional, commercially available CE fluorescence detector, wit hout the involvement of time-resolution. The results obtained for seven nap hthalene sulfonates (NS), which were used as test analytes, indicate that t he LODs for quenched phosphorescence on such an instrument are as good as c a. 10(-7) M.
