Abstract
Aortic rupture in association with a contiguous intraabdominal abscess is r are. We report an unusual case of aortic rupture in association with a poly microbial abscess and review the related literature. Cultures grew Eikenell a corrodens, a rare intraabdominal pathogen, as well as beta-hemolytic stre ptococcus and S. viridans. The patient was successfully managed by aortic l igation followed by an extraanatomic bypass. DOI: 10.1007/s100169910072.
