I. Harada et M. Motokawa, EFFECTS OF BIQUADRATIC INTERACTIONS ON THE MAGNETIZATION PROCESS OF CSMNCL3.2H2O, Physica. B, Condensed matter, 201, 1994, pp. 196-199
Effects of biquadratic exchange interactions on the magnetization proc
ess of an antiferromagnetic classical-spin chain are theoretically stu
died in connection with experimental results of CsMnCl3.2H2O. The inte
ractions being relatively weak have significant influence on the trans
ition from the spin-flopped state to the ferromagnetic state, which ex
plains the characteristic feature of the saturation behavior of the ma
gnetization process observed in CsMnCl3.2H2O. In addition, the paramet
er values we determine reproduce reasonably well the susceptibility an
d the spin wave spectrum observed at zero field.
