Abstract
Unamuno and Antonio Machado ignored music in their books whereas Baroja was an exception for his time. His texts show his interests in Mozart and the belcantista opera, and some of his novels such as La leyenda de Jaun de Alz ate and Allegro final seem close to the conception of symphonic poems.
