Abstract
The third-order optical non-linearity of a Diels-Alder adduct of fullerene C-60 With a copper phthalocyanine was investigated using the femtosecond ti me-resolved optical Ken gate method at 830 nm wavelength. Its non-resonant second-order hyperpolarizability was estimated to be 5.4 x 10(-31) esu. The non-linearity enhancement from the formation of the intramolecular charge- transfer complex is discussed.
