Advances in water powered rockdrilling

This paper introduces hydropowered mining, developed in South Africa to mee t the technological challenges associated with deep level gold mining. The primary interest of Novatek is the development of water powered rockdrills as a component in hydropowered mining systems. During the last few years, Novatek has worked closely with parties within t he Canadian mining industry to adapt this technology to be suitable for the Canadian mining industry, giving rise to the Candrill project.
