Abstract
We have observed a photovoltaic mesoscopic effect in quasiballistic el ectron interferometers in the quantum Hall regime. It was found that t he mesoscopic E.M.F. generated by microwave radiation may be both peri odic and aperiodic (h/e- and h/2e-oscillations) with magnetic field. W e have established that this photovoltaic effect is the consequence of the interference of edge current states coupled by the impurity assis ted tunneling.
