Abstract
We used atomic force microscope (AFM) to study temperature variation of the
surface morphology of ferroelectric BaTiO3 and NaKC4H4O6 . 4H(2)O. For BaT
iO3 the observation was made from room temperature to 130 degrees C range a
nd annihilation of the surface structure due to 90 degrees domain boundarie
s was detected. For NaKC4H4O6 . 4H(2)O, the observation was made from aroun
d 30 degrees C to 10 degrees C and the surface gradient change due to the m
onoclinic distortion was detected below around 24 degrees C.
