Algebraic methods for calculation of material property tensors and their ch
anges at ferroic phase transitions are reviewed. The central point of these
methods is the application of tables of "tensorial covariants" and of abst
ract tables of "fine domain structures". To facilitate the practical use of
this information a software program was developed, the results of which ar
e illustrated. In particular, tensor distinction of domain states is solved
for all cases of completely transposable pairs.
