Abstract
Polyoxirane (polyoxyethylene) and some of its derivatives stimulate the lig nin peroxidase activity in shaken Phaneroch oe te chrysosporium cultures. T he majority of polyoxirane remains in the culture fluid while a minor part diffuses into the fungal pellets where it is distributed between cell solid s and cell liquid. The lower the polyoxirane content in the cell liquid, th e higher the lignin peroxidase activity of the P. chrysosporium culture.
