A detailed zonation of the Induan Stage of northeastern Asia was performed
in sections in the eastern upper-Yana region. It has revealed a decrease in
the volume of the Triassic Stage In the northward direction resulting from
the omission of basal beds. It is concluded that the boreal standard of th
e Permian-Triassic boundary should be sought primarily in the south of the
eastern upper-Yana region within the basin of the East Khandyga River.
