Lv. Sirotenko et Vi. Gorbachev, Factors favoring development of rock reservoirs in the lower part of the Tyumenskaya superdeep borehole, GEOL GEOFIZ, 41(4), 2000, pp. 491-502
Based on the studied physical properties of rocks in the Tyumenskaya superd
eep borehole, major factors favoring formation and development of complex r
ock reservoirs in terrigenous and effusive-sedimentary sequences are analyz
ed. Analysis has shown that formation of deep-seated rock reservoirs is str
ongly related to deep postsedimentary processes whose intensification is go
verned by fluid fracturing and static and dynamic stresses, which result in
fracture growth and increase in the rate of chemical transformations. The
features of rock reservoirs in the Jurassic-Triassic deposits are considere
d. The revealed regularities of change In filtration-capacity properties of
the terrigenous rocks show that initially porous reservoirs completely dis
appear to depths of 4.5-5.2 km. Below, complex fractured and porous-fractur
ed reservoirs are abundant. Zones of development of fracturing have been di
scovered at depths below 5.5 km. The general regularities of change in rese
rvoir rock properties with depth differ from those earlier identified for t
he Urengol area.
