Abstract
A case study is presented to illustrate how outcomes-based assessment tools can be adapted and applied to develop a continuous quality improvement (CQ I) process for an undergraduate mechanical engineering program. The process used to establish outcomes-based assessment is illustrated. Brief descript ions of the assessment tools are given. Selected assessment results, focuse d on engineering analysis and design, are included, Program improvements ar e described that were motivated by these results.
