Abstract
The problem of reconstructing locations, shapes, and dielectric permittivit y distributions of two-dimensional (2-D) dielectric objects from measuremen ts of the scattered electric field is addressed in this paper. A numerical approach is proposed which is based on a multi-illumination multiview proce ssing, In particular, the inverse problem is recast as a global nonlinear o ptimization problem, which is solved by a genetic algorithm (GA), The final objective of the approach is the image reconstruction of highly contrasted bodies.
