Abstract
Pyranothiazoles, and spiro-thiazolidinediones were synthesized by the react ion of active methylene group present in 2,4-thiazolidinedione with differe nt chalcones and alpha-cyano-alpha,beta-unsaturated nitriles in the presenc e of mild/strong bases. Structural assignments of the new compounds are bas ed on the analytical and spectral data.
