Abstract
Interaction of 2-substituted-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid hydrazides 1 with chloranilic acid 2 in anhyd ethanol yields 3,8-di (2-substituted-1, 8-naphthyridin-3-yl) benzo [1,2-e: 4,5-e'] bis [1,3,4] oxadiazine-5,10 [1H, 6H]-diones 3. All the compounds have been characterized by spectral and mi croanalytical data. The antibacterial activity of these compounds has also been studied.
