Abstract
We present a brief account of the Oxford pulsed field facility. Multis ection coils for fields of 50 T in 20 mm bores are described and a spe cific example is discussed. Two design studies for mixing stationary o r quasi-stationary platform field magnets with pulsed coils for fields of 75 T and higher are outlined. Work on the application of high temp erature superconductors to magnet technology is also reported.
