Abstract
Packed-column supercritical fluid chromatography (pSFC) has been expected t o analyze various kinds of compounds. Many researchers have expected a new chromatographic technique that overcomes the limitations of other technique s, HPLC and GC. In pharmaceutical development, chromatography plays an impo rtant role in the evaluation of safety and efficacy of a new compound. This article provides an overview of the separation of drugs by pSFC. The effec ts of the chromatographic parameters were studied for the separation of ste roids. In chiral separation, the successful results were shown and compared with HPLC (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
