Abstract
The chemical composition of brine inclusions in chevron halite from Wielicz ka deposit has been determined by ultramicrochemical analyses. The data sho w that the brines belonged to the Na-K-Mg-Cl-SO4 type. Seawater was the mai n source of salt formation, and its composition was close to modern water. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
