Abstract
A statistical model employing a mean-field approach is proposed to calculat e the magnetic susceptibility of glasses containing paramagnetic transition metal cations, The model has been verified with experimental data taken on a series of glasses containing manganese (II), d(5), S = 5/2, (C) 2000 Aca demic Press.
