Abstract
A boy with chronic active Epstein-Barr virus infection (EBV) developed bila
teral exophthalmos by infiltrating EBV-infected natural-killer cells during
combined chemotherapy. This unusual presentation resolved completely after
allogeneic bone-marrow transplantation, and EBV-infected peripheral T and
natural-killer cells were also eradicated.
