N. Dishovsky et M. Grigorova, On the correlation between electromagnetic waves absorption and electricalconductivity of carbon black filled polyethylenes, MATER RES B, 35(3), 2000, pp. 403-409
The electroconductivity and microwave properties of high-density polyethyle
nes containing 0-20 mass% acethylene carbon black were investigated. A corr
elation between electroconductivity and ultra-high frequency (UHF) electrom
agnetic waves absorption for systems containing carbon black in concentrati
ons lower than that at the percolation threshold was found. The increase of
carbon black (CB) concentration above the percolation threshold influences
electrical conductivity slightly, but considerably changes microwave behav
ior. The highest coefficient of attenuation was registered in the 2.0-3.0 G
Hz range (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
