Abstract
We show that (P)Sigma(n=1)exp(2 pi ian(k)/p) << min(k(5/8)p(5/8),k(3/8)p(3/4)) and (P)Sigma(n=1)exp(2 pi ian(p)/p(2)) << p(7/8) when p lambda a. The proof uses a modification of Stepanov's method.
