We investigated the recombination processes in the X-ray storage phosphor B
aFBr:Eu2+ via the detection of the microwave-induced changes in the recombi
nation luminescence in a high magnetic field. Resonances of the F(Br-) cent
re, of the V-K(Br-2(-)) centre, of the Eu2+ ground state and of a hitherto
unknown hole centre were observed. The luminescence band of the F(Br-) - V-
K(Br-2(-)) recombination peaks at about 400 nm, that of the F(Br-)-new hole
centre recombination at about 350 nm.
