Abstract
Random polymer structures were simulated in the non-continuous space of a d iamond lattice. Free volume distributions were calculated for different pol ymer chain lengths and densities. The calculations provided free Volume dis tributions dependent on the number average molecular weight and the density of the polymer. Using the results of the simulations, it was shown that po sitron lifetime data might provide distorted free volume distributions unde r certain conditions. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
