Abstract
The possibility of considerably reducing the start-up current of a coherent resonant-tunneling transit-time diode operating in the terahertz range is demonstrated. The proposed scheme relies on resonance electron transitions in a double-barrier injector. (C) 2000 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
