Abstract
Compounds of the general formula (CH3NH3)(n-1)(CH3C6H4CH2NH3)(2)PbnX3n+1, w here X = I, Br, Cl and n = 1, 2, 3,..., were prepared and characterized ana lytically and spectroscopically. Moreover, (CH3C6H4CH2NH3)(2)PbX4 and (CH3N H3)(CH3C6H4CH2NH3)(2)Pb2I7 were characterized by X-ray crystal structure an alysis. Their optical absorption and photoluminescence spectra exhibit exci tonic bands, even at room temperature.
