Abstract
Thr method far the inoculation of winter barley with Barley yellow mosaic v irus type 2 (BaYMV-2) has been improved. By the addition of a proteinase in hibitor (phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride, PMSF) to the inoculum, the infectio n rate was increased. The detection of virus particles in the plants was ca rried out with a tissue print immune blot (TPIB).
