Abstract
When using IR to monitor chemical reactions in solid-phase synthesis, this study shows that the introduction of a thin layer of infrared-transparent K Br to replace the air space between the two diamond windows of a compressio n cell has been found to effectively correct the inconsistent infrared ligh t transmission.
