A simple and sensitive capillary electrophoretic method was developed for t
he separation and determination of Thiram in boric acid buffer by direct UV
absorbance detection at lambda = 254 nm. The separation behaviour of Thira
m from Nabam was studied and it is dependent on pH and the nature of the bu
ffer. The detection limit (S/N = 3) is 0.5 mu g/ml for Thiram, The method w
as successfully applied to the analysis of wheat samples spiked with Thiram
