Abstract
We measured the size dependence of the energy relaxation time of PbSe quant um dots at room temperature. The radius of the dots was evaluated by small- angle x-ray scattering. We found a monotonic decrease of the relaxation tim e from 25 to 1 ps with a decrease of the radius r from 2.9 to 1.4 nm. The 1 /r(3) dependence of the relaxation rate was indicated.
