Abstract
The condensation reaction of an overcrowded dihydrostibine with dibromobism uthine using 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene as a base afforded the firs t stable stibabismuthene, the formation of which was evidenced by UV-VIS an d Raman spectra and its chemical reactivity.
