Abstract
Addition of diazonium tetrafluoroborates to an acyl chloride pyridine mixtu re affords hydrazonoacid derivatives in smooth conditions; this new Japp-Kl ingemann reaction emphasizes the synthetic potential of electrophilic addit ion to ketenes.
